I would like to remain healthy and keep enjoying science as much as possible. it is difficult to predict everything in science. There is always a large degree of unpredictability and this is what makes it fascinating.

I would love to still be doing the job I am doing now- running a lab in a University, doing really interesting research. As part of this, I would love to make a great scientific discovery that would lead to a new medicine or practice that would really benefit people. As we are working on the immune system, this could be some novel treatment for infections or a new way of dealing with autoimmune disease like diabetes or inflammatory bowel disease.

If I could, I would like to go to Mars and find out if there really is life there. The thrill of finding something living on another world would be something else. It would certainly mean my name would be remembered for ever.
