      Hello,

my main aim is not really to win money. I wanted to hear what young people think, what matters to them and what opinion they have about science. I also want to tell young people that science is extremely imortant and drives all our lives in many aspects that we really take for granted.
The money that I will win I will give it to 2 of my students to pay for their expenses to attend a scientific conference on protein-DNA interactions in Sheffield in September.

Well I want to win the money to help students go and meet scientists, when normally cost would stop them going. This would be at a conference where scietists go and explain what they are researching, how they are educating etc.
Also it would go towards making it possible to run practical sessions over a number of weeks in Outreach for schools. This would allow school students the chance to see how researchj is done, caryy some out themselves and work out what we have learnt afterwards..

How would it help…well even if peopel don’t like science i’d hope they would know a bit more about it at the end, and for those who like science..a chance to do research, see conferences that otherwise they would never have ahd chance to do
