      Hi lornad,

I would say that each dog has his/her own character and personality. They can be naughty and very playfull and sometimes we associate such traits with humour. certainly my dog Leo (15 months old mixed English Pointer and Grayhound) is very playfull and funny. He plays football and likes to chase rabbits in the woods. He sings with us and likes a lot of cuddles. He loves all food…!

Dogs do have emotion so they probably have a form of humour, however I am a cat person! However my cat can get quite grumpy when I laugh at something he does so I am not sure he has a sense of humour!

Dogs can feel a lot of emotions, so I guess humour could be one of them. They never laugh at my jokes though, but maybe that is because my jokes are rubbish.

from what I have seen some get up to and then look all innocent as if to say “whaaaat?…was that bad? Who knew?” I would have to say they do have sense of humour. More so than cats who seem cranky when show signs of free will and independant thought
