A little bit of dirt is good for you! Too clean will lead to superbugs which will take over the planet!

      You’re busy today Gemma
The earth is absolutely infested with bacteria and viruses everywhere, fortunately about 99.9% of them do us no harm. 🙂 Just wash your hands occasionally 😉

In the last few centuries, the western world has cleaned up living conditions, and this has saved many lives through reducing disease. Evidence now exisits that there may be a flip-side to being too clean, in that this may be a trigger for allergies and autoimmune disease (the so-called hygeine hypothesis). So, more research is needed to be done on this, but it could be that a happy medium on cleanliness is needed.

In terms of underdeveloped countries, the lack of cleanliness for things like drinking water supplies is still a major problem (and kills far too many people)

      Gemma,

really good point here. Our earth is a very precious place. it is our home and we must look after it at wnatever the cost. We must leave it in good condition for our children and for future generations. All life depends on us maintaining the good state of the earth. So I hope all people love the earth and understand how important it is.
