Biochemistry is the chemistry of life, the study of molecules that make life possible. The word comes from the ancient Greek word ‘Bios’ which means ‘life’ and ‘Chemia’ which means Chemistry. So Biochemistry studies molecules such as proteins, DNA, RNA, lipids.
