      The strangest thing that often comes up in our research (and for many other scientists I know) is that certain experiments can work for a long time, but then for some reason will suddenly stop working….. and you just don’t know why…. obviously something has changed to make it not work any more, but you don’t know what it is…. Just goes to show that we still know less about things than we think we do.

      Strange things happen every time. Not all things work out the way you expect to. Especially when some of my students are doing the research…!

      Probably that some dead bacteria appear to help live bacteria get into human cells..wasn’t expecting that
